21 July 2025 | STI 100³ Program at SMK Telok Gadong, Klang
The STI 100³ Program is an initiative by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education Malaysia (KPM), aimed at nurturing students’ interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
This program involves 100 scientists reaching out to 100 schools within 100 days, with the goal of exposing students to real-world applications of science and technology through interactive activities such as talks, experiments, and exhibitions.
Unlike general STEM programs which promote science and technology education broadly, STI 100³ emphasizes the direct involvement of scientists in the learning process, making it more interactive and practical.
Today, we enhanced Chemistry knowledge by bringing the topic “Acids and Bases” to Form 4 and Form 5 students at SMK Telok Gadong.
Special thanks to Prof. Zainiharyati for giving us, the team from the School of Chemistry and Environment, FSG, the opportunity to be guest speakers for Chemistry at this school. Prof. Zaini is one of the 100 selected scientists. Alfu Mabruk (congratulations).
We learned so much from these students. Seeing them grow and thrive in science touches the heart—and certainly reminds us of our own children far away in Johor.
Interest in science can be nurtured,
can be cultivated,
can be sown.
God willing, the nation will reap good results in the future.
All the best to all the students.
